When Star Meets Legend

In Beijing Brazil passed through to the Semi-Finals beating Cameron in the extra time 2-0. It wasn’t an easy task for the Seleção boys, and its only going to get tougher from now on to reach the gold medal. Ronaldinho played his role restricted in helping the midfield get the ball up and penetrate Cameron’s defense. Eventually they ended scoring late in the game, but the 2 goals in 101 (Sobis) and 105 (Marcelo) minutes were sufficient to book them a ticket to the Semi-Finals. Now Brazil has to step their game up next game against gold medal contenders friendly rivals Argentina on August 19th. An important game that could decide the 2008 Beijing football gold medal champions. Winner will face either Belgium (who Brazil beat 1-0 in the group stage) or Nigeria on the 21st.
