Ronaldinho Touch of Gold, 100% REAL!

By: fetyani | January 10th, 2009

For the longest time I was convinced that the video “Ronalidnho, Touch of Gold” was 100% real, until a few months earlier after many friends and my brother especially tried to prove to me the video is fake. Their argument was he isn’t that good, hitting the crossbar 3 times was plausible, but doing it 3 times without the ball touching the ground!! They said it was too much even for Dinho. I went online and looked it up, and from a few unreliable sties I had to wave the white flag and tell everyone, they were right and I was wrong. But today I was just reading another typical interview by Gazzetta Dello Sport, and at the end the reporter asked him “The” question I’ve been waiting for years to be asked.

Dinho’s reply to the question if the video was digitally enhanced:

“It’s all true! If you don’t believe me then ask someone who is watching when I train. I did it again the other day.”

THANK YOU Dinho!!! :D

The Video: Ronaldinho Touch of Gold

And to everyone who was sure it was fake, he is that good! He’s Ronaldinho!

The rest of the interview,

I’m happy that Ronnie is so optimistic and believes in himself, his teammates and the team.

“I am happy and my family has settled in very well, which is the most important thing,”

“There may be the beach in Barcelona, but I like Milan and the warmth of the people helps me forget about the cold climate.”

“Milan are made up of intelligent players who know they need to make sacrifices if they want to play together and have fun.”

“Beckham is special. He has a way of kicking the ball with such precision and power that no other midfielder has. He is one of the best in the world and I really like him.”

“Inter have quality players and a great Coach. They are strong, but we can catch them. Aside from the Scudetto, our objectives for 2009 are to get back into the Champions League and then win it in 2010.”

“On a personal level, I also hope to be back playing for Brazil soon. In these last few months it was important for me to concentrate on Milan, adapt to a new playing style and training regime.”

if this is from an interview. where’s the original source? if it’s a webpage link? if it’s a magazine article, issue, page number it can be found

PROVE YOUR OWN STUFF. Otherwise you’re just as fake as the video is.

that quote is not only translated, but doesn’t directly address the nature of the ad’s production. i could call… say the music video for “a milli” an “all real” documentary snapshot into lil’ wayne’s life and wouldn’t be lying per se. same thing. and we all know how liberal ronaldinho is with the truth; remember when he originally tried to suggest he meant to score on david seaman in 2002?

i can’t believe i’m actually getting into this, but not only did he allegedly hit the crossbar four times (not three) consecutively, which he may have done i don’t know, once in his life, he did it off the volley. without the ball touching the ground at all. oh yeah, AND he hit the bar at the right angle, spin, and speed so that it would come back to him at the edge of the area at about 5 feet above the ground each time. oh yeah, and he controlled it perfectly each time. and he did it in one take. and it was the first time he ever put on those shoes.

the reason people believe it’s real is faith over reason and an inability to explain how the video was edited. the ludicrously grainy camera and poor framing make people think it really was out of nowhere that he did this. i suppose following that logic, FIFA should really ban those nikes, because if ronaldinho actually wears them the other team might as well not show up.

the original link was from gazzetta, but i cant seem to find it, and i did mention the source, la gazzetta dello sport! but here’s the english source from channel 4.com

    (last paragraph)

it could be fake of course, dinho could be just messing with the media. but again, it could be real. if a regular amateur player can hit the crossbar 5 times in row at the same spot, then Dinho can do what he “allegedly” did.
