Ronaldinho Continues to Shine In Zurich
By: fetyani | October 3rd, 2008After the uplifting performance in the Milan Derby on Sunday, Dinho continues to steal the spotlight in the UEFA Cup game against FC Zurich which Milan won on a 4-1 aggregate. The second leg took place in Zurich and ended with a Rossoneri win 1-0. Sheva re-opened his Milan Goal Account from an assist by none other but our man Ronaldinho.
Many wonderful plays and passes were architected by Ronnie. A good effort from him and we saw today that he is really starting to connect with the team; the outcome will be disastrous to Milan’s opponents.
Rating from Goal.com,
Ronaldinho -7.5: Dazzled the crowd by waving his magic wand and had the opposition begging for mercy as they just couldn’t get near him at all. His pass to set-up Shevchenko had his name all over it. A great showing by the goofy man.
Ronaldinho has asked Brazil coach Dunga to be left out of the Brazil squad to focus on getting back to his best with Milan, better for us.
“No Brazil? Dunga called me and we spoke. I need to remain here in Italy for a little while,”
“We are on the right track. Now we have to work hard,”
“Nothing much has changed from when I was in Spain. The way of life is the same but the football is
not. That is the only difference.”
For now Milan have to focus on stretching their streak to 6 games against Cagliari on Sunday in Sardegna. Then the International break will put Serie A on hiatus until October 19th for the game against Sampdoria at the San Siro.
