Dinho-Borgonovo
By: fetyani | October 9th, 2008International break is now on and Dinho isn’t with the Brazilian national team. What is he doing? Training his ass off so he can get “There”. Ancelotti said Ronnie isn’t 100% fit and will be probably by mid-October. So with the time off Ronaldinho was invited to partake in the charity game for Stefano Borgonovo a former Milan & Fiorentina player who is sadly suffering from motor neurone disease. The game was played in Florence between Fiorentina & Milan. It wasn’t your average game, Borgonovo’s teammates from the old days showed up, especially the Milan team of 1989 (Considered one of the best squads in history). The game was somewhat magical, to see all those guys again on and by the pitch, the legends and gods of football.
Instead of writing about it, I will just post pictures from the game, they’ll speak for themselves.

What do you think the chances are that Ronnie will (ever?) return to his previously exalted level of fitness and playing ability?

first lets just focus and hope he just gets back in it and perform at a high level.
will he return to his previous form of 2004-06? possibly, but its a long shot. it wont be easy to get back to that form, he was at one point named the best player in history (if he continued that form).
will he be the best in the world again? very possible, maybe not better than before but still the best. he`s already been showing major improvements in training and during games.
so far we can say his performance is acceptable. and im very sure he will get better soon. Serie A will back next week and by then we`re expected to see a better Dinho.

…fair enough. i will reserve a big smail for the first time that he takes on defenders with the dribble and maybe throws in a little “elastic!”

fifaguy – i think we have seen little glimpses of Dino magic and like you im waiting to see him back fulltime.
Its def a positive imo that he will remain in training with Milan during the internationals.
He was amazing in his first game and i think its just a case of being consistent as well as taking up the fitness levels up another notch. (Would still like to see him a little slimmer!)
He summed up everything so far really well in this interview with Gazzetta:

bummer for me that Fox is not carrying this game tomorrow. will have to find a live stream.
Ronnie looked real thin in the pics from this week’s friendly.
